One of the greatest things that we can do, as Christians, is to recognize what our gifts are and use them to bring glory and honor to Christ.  We look forward to all that God has in store for our church as we begin to worship and grow in the arts.  Our desire as a church is that God would begin to reveal the gifts and talents you have. Our prayer is twofold:

1.   Give us a heart of worship! Robert Robinson wrote in 1758, “teach me some melodious sonnet sung by flaming tongues above. Praise the mount I’m fixed upon it, mount of Thy redeeming love”. These words are so powerful! The Bible talks about “singing songs, hymns, and spiritual songs and making melodies unto the Lord”.  Our prayer is that as a church and worshippers of our Lord Jesus, we would be people who sing spiritual songs unto Him. We’re praying that God would give us a passion for worship like the woman with the perfume did when she poured everything she had on Jesus. Like the words of the song, “Pour my Love on You” say, “with praises like perfume, I lavish mine on You.”

2.   Help us to function in the gifts and talents the Lord has blessed us with! The Bible also talks about the young man who took the talents that were entrusted into his care and he buried them because of fear. The fine arts ministry exists to help us as a church discover our God given talents and abilities and teach us how to use them to bring glory to Him. Lets not be a church that chooses not to function in our gifts and talents because of fear.  God desires for each of us to operate under the Anointing of the Holy Spirit and worship Him with our God given abilities.
