God has placed upon our heart a burden to see a vibrant men’s ministry.  A ministry where not only are the needs of men addressed, but men are being equipped to be all that God has called them to be to themselves, their families, and the communities around them.  We as men have a great responsibility to uphold and as leaders we often find ourselves alone in trying to accomplish all that is required of us.

As we look forward, our schedule will continue with the weekly Morning Prayer meetings with Pastor Billy, and monthly Saturday breakfast meetings. 2012 promises to be another year where God is going to stretch us. We will be studying from a book entitled, Disciplines of a Godly Man, by R. Kent Hughes. This study will parallel Pastor’s vision for 2012 of laying a strong foundation for this church. I believe that the foundation of any church start with the men. So pray and believe with us as God begins to work anew within us this year.

We are looking to become more active with family activities, community outreach, and mission participation as God opens those doors. We are a very blessed congregation to have a large group of very gifted and compassionate men, it is my vision and desire to go forth and be used of God, to strengthen our families, and reach our communities by the gifts that God has blessed us with.

Jeremiah 17: 7-9 states, “Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him.  He will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream.  It does not fear when the heat comes: its leaves are always green.  It has no worries in a year of draught and never fails to bear fruit.”  Lord, we pray, make us that tree!

Please pray with us that we will become Mighty Men of God, firmly rooted in His precepts and Word.
